Surface

Select the surface on which the points and lines to be processed are located.

Remove duplicates

Check this option to scan the whole surface for duplicate points, which is one possible reason for an invalid surface, and remove them. 

Fix crossing lines

Check this option to scan the whole surface for crossing lines, which is one possible reason for an invalid surface, and remove them.

Fix perimeter errors

Check this option to scan only the perimeter of the surface for errors, and to fix them in an automatic but basic way. [See ‘Ask me first’ below)

Ask me first

If checked, then Fix perimeter errors will ask you first before attempting an automatic fix. You might be able to fix it in a more thoughtful way. 

Validate model

Continue with the normal operation of the function. If unchecked you can perform the optional fixes without the subsequent delay of the validation step.
